Cases are what wholesale runs on rather than loose bags, and the price per piece depends on it. Honestly, anyone reselling candy or filling a party bowl ends up buying by the case anyway, so we just list it that way.
Most product pages say what’s in the case, either a piece count or a weight. Not every one does yet. Have a look before you add to your order, and that goes for the imported European lines as much as the everyday bulk categories.
