A handful of convenience stores carried them back in the 1960s, and since they were imported from overseas, tracking a pack down wasn’t easy. Part of the fun was in how you ate them, peel off a strip and chew, or just pop the whole roll in your mouth and suck on it until it disappeared. Each roll pulled apart into 4 separate strips.
