Irish toffees and eclairs from Oatfield
Oatfield has seven items here, and nearly all of them are toffee in one form or another. The listings call it one of the last independent sweet makers still standing in Ireland, and they say it has been at this for more than 100 years.
The Traditional Irish Butter Hard Toffee is the plain one, rich and buttery. If you want chocolate, there are the Milk Chocolate Eclairs and the Emerald chewy toffee. The Irish Assorted Hard Eclairs mix four fillings, including coconut and orange.
Two items are a little different. The Irish Black Liquorice Toffee is harder than a similar Callard & Bowser candy, so it lasts longer. It gets even harder in cold weather, so let it sit in a warm room for a few hours first. The Eskimo Mints are after-dinner mints, and the listing says they work for weddings and other special events.
