Frequently asked questions

Do I have to buy a minimum?

No minimum at all. You do buy a full case, and cases run 5 to 10 kilograms depending on who made it and the format. Want the exact weight of one product? Message us before ordering.

What sets torrone apart from nougat?

Not much. Torrone is just what Italians call a traditional nougat, made with honey and sugar and egg white plus almonds. We lump the two together here. Soft bars and firm ones sit side by side. Chocolate-covered pieces and filled drops from around Europe join them.

Do you deliver outside the US?

Nope. Orders go to US addresses only, and checkout is by secure card.

How do I keep nougat from going sticky?

Keep humidity away from it. Damp air turns soft nougat tacky. A cool, dry shelf is the answer. Anything with a chocolate coating, like the Maitre Truffout marzipan-nougat bar, wants an even cooler room or the coating suffers.

Which nougat brands are in stock?

Jannis from Greece makes the soft bars. Almond and cranberry-almond are the easy ones to find. Strawberry-almond and caramel-hazelnut exist too. Then Maitre Truffout, with a marzipan-nougat bar and a honey-nougat almond bar. Fazer’s Geisha soft nougat comes from Finland, and Woogie’s Mozart pistachio drops are the odd one out. Stock shifts with availability.

Can my business get a wholesale account?

Yes, if you qualify. Send over your business details and we’ll set it up.

Quick answer

Nougat and torrone are open to shoppers and trade buyers alike, with no minimum order. Jannis soft bars from Greece come in almond and caramel-hazelnut. Cranberry-almond is there too, and so is Fazer’s Finnish nougat. Everything ships within the US.

Nougat and torrone pack a lot of tradition into one bite. It’s whipped sugar or honey, studded with nuts like almonds and hazelnuts. Fruit shows up in some bars too. Some are soft and chewy. Others are firm and snappy. The confection has real heritage in Italy and Greece, and Spain as well. It sells to shoppers who want something more crafted than a candy bar. We carry European nougat and torrone by the case. You can stock this old-world category without hunting down each piece yourself.

Greece does a lot of the heavy lifting in our range. Jannis makes soft nougat bars and they come in a real spread of flavors. Almond is the starting point. Cranberry-and-almond and strawberry-and-almond follow. Caramel-and-hazelnut is the fourth. Maitre Truffout covers the chocolate side with a marzipan-nougat milk chocolate bar from Germany. It also makes a chocolate Alps honey-nougat almond bar. Fazer from Finland adds its Geisha milk chocolate soft nougat. Woogie from Germany has Mozart nougat-and-pistachio filled candy drops. So you get soft Greek bars and chocolate-covered nougat. Filled drops round out the category.

Who buys nougat and torrone

The crowd skews gift-minded and a bit older. They appreciate a crafted confection. Plenty of shoppers from Mediterranean and European backgrounds grew up with it too. Nougat feels traditional and a little special. That suits specialty shops and gift programs. Holiday displays fit it well. It sells in season, since torrone is a fixture on Christmas tables across southern Europe. If you want something with real heritage on your shelf, nougat does the job.

Case packs and shipping

Nougat and torrone ship by the case. Cases generally weigh 5 to 10 kilograms depending on maker and format, and they’re priced per case in US dollars. We ship throughout the United States. Business buyers can open a wholesale account and get wholesale pricing. Need larger volumes? Ask for a quote.

Storage depends on the type. Plain soft nougat is forgiving. A cool room works. Keep it out of humidity because that can make it sticky. The chocolate-covered bars want a cooler room so the coating holds. That’s the Maitre Truffout marzipan-nougat bar and the Fazer Geisha. Cool and dry is the rule for the whole category.

Building a nougat selection

Lead with a classic soft almond nougat. The Jannis almond bar is the form most people recognize. Add a fruit version next for color and variety. Cranberry-and-almond or strawberry-and-almond both work. Then bring in a chocolate-covered option for customers who want chocolate in the mix. That could be the Maitre Truffout marzipan-nougat bar or the Fazer Geisha. The Woogie Mozart pistachio drops add a filled-candy format and a premium, gift-friendly note.

Nougat and torrone sit inside our wider wholesale marzipan and nougat range. They share a gift-minded customer with imported chocolate, so plenty of buyers set them near a premium chocolate display. Greece supplies a good chunk of the bars here. Our Greece wholesale candy page shows the whole Greek lineup in one place.

Seasonal planning

Torrone belongs on Christmas tables across southern Europe, so sales spike around December. Imported stock arrives in waves. Gift formats tighten as the season fills. Planning a holiday push? Tell us your rough volume and timing and we’ll reserve product so your nougat shelf stays full when it matters. Ask early. A missed window means an empty holiday display.

Holiday torrone and the heritage table

Torrone is a Christmas confection across southern Europe, and that heritage drives its sales. Families with Italian or Greek roots grew up with it. Spanish families did too. A bar of nougat on the holiday table is part of how they celebrate, like those dishes that simply have to be there. Stock authentic European torrone ahead of December and you become the shop that lets them keep the tradition going. That pull drives volume in a tight window, so plan for it.

Build the holiday display around forms people know. Jannis soft almond nougat is the classic most customers picture. The fruit versions add color and gift appeal. That’s cranberry-almond and strawberry-almond. The chocolate-covered Maitre Truffout marzipan-nougat bar and the Fazer Geisha bring chocolate for shoppers who want it. Woogie Mozart pistachio drops add a premium gift note. Present nougat as a heritage holiday item and the seasonal order follows.

Outside the holidays it still sells to that gift-minded, slightly older customer. Keep a small year-round selection near your premium chocolate. Storage is easy between seasons, since plain soft nougat only dislikes humidity. Imported torrone tightens as December fills, so send us your rough holiday volume and timing early. Your display will be full when those families come looking.
