Crispo and Confetti Maxtris are the Italian producers. Dragees Pecou is the French one. Between them they cover the styles in this category across 38+ SKUs.

Right now it’s white and ivory. Silver and gold too. Then red and green. Pink, yellow and brown round it out. Availability varies by brand and style, so check each product listing for current stock.

Do you have gluten-free confetti?

Yes, some. Gluten-free status is noted on the product page where it applies.

What allergens are in confetti and dragees?

Tree nuts are the big one, since almonds are the base of most products here. Soy and peanuts show up in some. So do milk and wheat. Full allergen details sit on each product page.

What We Stock

Two countries cover it. Italy gives us Crispo and Confetti Maxtris. France gives us Dragees Pecou. They don’t overlap much. Crispo does the classic almond confetti in a few finishes. Maxtris goes thin-shelled with a soft center, the sort you’d find at an Italian wedding. Pecou is where we go for silver and gold decorative dragees. They also make thin-shell almond dragees.

  • Crispo almond confetti comes in white and ivory, plus silver and gold foil. There’s a red natural finish too. It’s the classic Italian wedding favor.
  • Maxtris love confetti has a thin soft shell and a chocolate and fruit filling inside. We’ve got pineapple and lemon. Coconut as well, and raspberry yoghurt.
  • Maxtris almond and chocolate confetti includes tartufini ricotta pear and liquorelli. Rose-flavored almond ones are in there as well.
  • Dragees Pecou silver dragees are French longuettes with a silver finish. They’re made for decorating pastry and confections.
  • Dragees Pecou almond dragees are thin-shelled French almonds in green and other colors.

Colors run white and brown. Red and green. Yellow and pink as well. Anyone building a palette for an event will care about that spread.

Sourcing and Origins

Italian confetti is tied to Abruzzo, and the tradition goes back several centuries. Sugar-coated almonds turn up at Italian and Greek weddings. Middle Eastern ones too. Crispo and Maxtris both work in that tradition, and shoppers from those communities usually know them already. Pecou takes the French road. The shells are finer than the Italian ones, and the color’s more exact. That’s why pastry chefs reach for the silver and gold. Most mainstream wholesale catalogs don’t list these at all.

As far as we know there’s no domestic stand-in for real Italian confetti at this quality.

A Buyer’s Sourcing Guide

Orders follow events. Spring and summer weddings pull hardest, and other life milestones add to it. Event buyers book early and expect their colors to be on hand. Most orders need a spread anyway. We’d pair white and ivory wedding confetti with a couple of flavored Maxtris lines and one decorative dragee. Color is the thing that decides the order. Confetti keeps well, so it can sit through the off months.

Merchandising and Display by Channel

For party supply and bridal, sort by color. Someone matching a palette wants to see it at a glance. In Italian or Greek grocery, confetti sells all year and jumps around weddings and christenings. Middle Eastern shops see the same pattern. Shelve it with the other imported goods. Pastry and cake-decorating supply can put the French silver and gold dragees next to baking ingredients. Candy bar and event catering operators build color-coordinated dessert tables from it. Selling online? Group by color and occasion, because that’s how wedding searches run.

Gluten-Free Options and Allergens

This category has some gluten-free confetti and dragees. The product page says so where it applies. Planning a gluten-free event? Open the individual listings first. On allergens, almond is the base of most of the range, so tree nuts are the big one. A few items have soy or peanuts. Others have milk or wheat. Each product page carries the full ingredient and allergen details. Handing out favors? Tell the people receiving them about allergens.

Seasonal Demand and Labeling Notes

Nothing else we carry swings like this. Volume climbs hard for spring and summer weddings. It also follows religious and cultural celebrations, since Italian and Greek families bring confetti into weddings and christenings. Middle Eastern ones do too. Outside those windows it goes quiet. So buy early. Event buyers book well ahead and want certain colors waiting. Order late and the year’s mostly gone. The shelf life helps a bit. Color stock can carry over between seasons without trouble.

On labeling, color and finish sell it. Name them clearly on listings and packaging. A bride matching a palette will turn down a near miss. Show the flavor on the Maxtris filled confetti as well. Gluten-free status belongs on the label where it applies.

Who Buys Confetti and Dragees From Us

Wedding and event buyers come first. Party supply wholesalers buy in bulk and resell to bridal shops and event planners. Some of it goes straight to consumers. Italian and Greek specialty food stores keep confetti on the shelf as a cultural staple. Candy bar operators build color-matched displays. Pastry supply buyers take the French decorative dragees for cakes.
